What to do if you have a broken device

  1. Once you learn a single device is broken, contact the Help Desk at 617-635-9200.
Do not try to fix the device yourself. This could void the device's warranty, or cause more damage.
  1. Once you have contacted the Help Desk, take the broken device out of circulation and keep it with you until it is repaired.
  2. If a school has various broken or damaged Chromebook devices, note the make, model, serial number/BPS asset tag, and condition/issue with devices in your inventory spreadsheet. Then, email Solimar Cruzado (scruzado@bostonpublicschools.org) and she will follow up with next steps.
