Tweet Deck Tutorial for Twitter Chats

1 The first step is to open Twitter and click Log in

2 Next, go to  tweetdeck.twitter.com

Click Add column

3 Click Search

4 Type #hashtag of the Twitter Chat and Press Enter,

By adding the #hashtag column you will be able to see all Tweets that have the chat hashtag in them.

5 Click Add column for a second time

6 Click User

7 By adding your own User Column you can see all of the tweets you have written in one place.

8 Click Add column

9 Click Tweet when you want to share your first response.

10 During the chat you will write your Tweets in the What's happening? box then click Tweet to post.

11 You will see questions come up in the #hashtag of the Twitter Chat column in this format:

Q and then the number of the question.

Example:

Q1 - What is your name? #hashtag of the Twitter Chat

12 You can add images or videos from your computer to your Tweets!

Click Add images or video

13 When you add a picture it adds characters to your tweet.

Remember only 280 characters per Tweet!

14 You will see all questions and responses in the #hashtag of the Twitter Chat column, as long as the tweet has hashtag written in the tweet.

15 Read the questions that come up in the hashtag column. Then respond.

**Pro Tip** You may need to refresh your page or scroll down to the bottom to see new Tweets coming in

17 **Pro Tip** Copy the hashtag so you can just paste it at the end of each of your tweets quickly!
