How to Upload your Google Classroom List to your Drive to open it in Google Sheets

1 The first step is to open My Drive - Google Drive and click New

2 Click File upload and find your Google Classroom file where you saved it on your computer.

3 Once it has been uploaded Click Recent.

4 Right Click Google Classroom List on the top of the list

5 With your mouse, hover Open with

6 Click Google Sheets

7 Your file will open in Google Sheets.

8 To sort your List by Grade level,  Click arrow on the top of the Grade Column.

9 Click Sort sheet A → Z to order the list by the lowest grade to the highest grade.

10 You can scroll down your list by using the scroll bar on the right hand side.

11 To sort your list by Homerooms, Click the arrow on the top of the Homeroom column..

12 Click Sort sheet A → Z to sort by Lowest Homeroom number to Highest homeroom number.

13 To separate your list by Homeroom, Click the plus sign to Add a Sheet

14 Right click and Highlight the names in the same homeroom.

15 Click Edit and Click Copy

16 Click Sheet1

17 Click to highlight the first box.

18 Click Edit and Click Paste

19 Doubleclick Sheet2 to rename the sheet with the Homeroom number

21 Doubleclick Sheet1

22 Type Room 109

Step 22 image

23 Continue Copying and pasting students into new sheets That's it. You're done.
