What are the required trainings?
Every year, BPS staff are required to complete online training in BPSLearns (Brightspace), our staff learning management system. On June 22, 2026, the district will enroll all active staff (central office and school-based) in the required trainings on BPSLearns.

How to Access the Trainings
Step 1: Find Your Training Under "My Learning"
After you have signed in to BPSLearns, go to your homepage. You should see a section called “My Learning.” Under that section should be a box called “SY 26-27 All Staff Required Trainings.” Click that box to access your training.
Step 2: Complete all available training.
Click on each one individually to take the training. Please note: if the item is greyed out, the training is not yet available. The date it is available is listed in the description of each course.
What to Do If You Do Not See the Required Trainings Under "My Learning"
If you do not see the “SY 26-27 All Staff Required Trainings” box in your profile, you can self-add the available training under the Discover icon on your BPSLearns homepage.
I am getting a notification about completing a quiz. What does this mean?
A common notification that participants receive is that they have to complete a quiz in a course/training. All required annual BPS district trainings in BPSLearns have quizzes that participants must pass in order to earn a certificate and be marked as having completed the training.
