What is a Secure Document and who has access?

Use ParentSquare's Secure Documents Delivery system to electronically send important documents such as Attendance Nudge Letters, Progress Reports, and Report Cards to families. This feature can be used by Schools with applicable access.

How do I create a secure document from Aspen through ParentSquare?

  1. Run the needed report and download as a PDF (e.g. attendance letter, progress reports, or report cards) from Aspen. You will use this report to define a template in ParentSquare.
  2. Create a template in ParentSquare using the report being sent out (e.g. attendance letter, progress report, or report card): Add-Ons, select Secure Documents in the left sidebar and click New Template.
  3. Enter Template Title and upload a Sample PDF.
The sample PDF should be a full page that clearly identifies where to find the student ID
  1. Select Student ID Type: SIS ID or State ID.
  1. A preview of the sample PDF will be displayed. "Click and drag" to draw a rectangle around the position where the student ID is located. This includes any invisible Student ID.
Make sure that the box is large enough to pick up the Student ID on any page in case the positioning varies from page to page.
  1. Click Save Selection to confirm student ID location on this template.
