How to Reset a Student Password


Registering and setting up a new student password

Tech coordinators, administrators and teachers would follow these steps to set up a password for new student accounts.

  1. On the ASPEN Login Page (sis.mybps.org), click on Student under the "Help! I forgot my password" section, Or Go directly to the Student Reset Page (dwp.mybps.org)
  2. Next click the blue Continue button under the New User Registration section 
  3. This will take you to the First Time Registration page. Enter the information into each field. Information entered on this page will need to match the information in SIS so make sure to use full names with correct spelling. Click Continue when ready.
  4. On the next page are the terms and conditions. To a gree to them scroll to the bottom or the page, click the slider to indicate that you agree, and then click Agree and Continue
  5. Select a security Question from the pull down menu and enter the answer in the next field. Click Continue when you are done.
  6. Enter your personal email address in both fields and click Submit. An email will be sent that will contain a verification code that you will need on the next page.
  7. Once you have received that email containing the 7 digit verification code, enter the code in the "Verification Code" field and click "Continue".
  8. You will be taken to the password reset page, follow the criteria listed to create a new password. Once you have entered the new password in both fields click Submit. This should take you to a page that displays the students information and the new password. This is the final page and means the password reset is complete, the page will expire one minute after opening.

Resetting a student password after registration

1. Navigate to the ASPEN login page (sis.mybps.org) Students under Help I Forgot My Password.

2. Click Help, I forgot my password

3. Click RESET PASSWORD

4. Fill in the Personal Information including your Student ID for the User name, Your First and Last Name and your Date of Birth and Click Continue

5. Enter the Code sent to your Personal Email. This may take a few minutes.  Click Continue

6. Answer your Security Question and Click Continue

7. Enter and Confirm your new Password using the criteria in Orange and Click Continue

8. Click Done. That's it. You're done.
